Combining chewy glass noodles with savory-sweet bulgogi, Japchae balances each ingredient’s flavor perfectly, with the noodles absorbing just the right amount of seasoning. Whether for a special occasion or a family dinner, this Japchae recipe will impress guests with its hearty, sophisticated flavors.

Ingredients:

  • Bulgogi (250g) – Kevin’s Choice Bulgogi
  • Wood ear mushrooms (70g)
  • Carrot (½, thinly sliced)
  • Onion (½, thinly sliced)
  • Spinach (1 cup, blanched for 1 minute)

Sauce Ingredients (Mix together):

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Cook the noodles: Boil sweet potato starch noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Mix Sauce Ingredients
  3. Cook bulgogi: Stir-fry 250g of bulgogi until browned. Set aside.
  4. Sauté vegetables: In the same pan, sauté wood ear mushrooms, carrots, and onions. Season with a pinch of salt. Add blanched spinach and cook briefly.
  5. Combine: Add the noodles, cooked bulgogi, and the sauce to the pan. Toss everything together until well mixed.
  6. Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Enjoy this delicious Korean noodle dish with family and friends!
